Ceresit CT 17 is a preparation used for priming surfaces (walls, floors, ceilings) inside and outside buildings before mounting ceramic tiles, pouring screeds, fixing floor coverings, wallpapering, puttying, painting, or mounting thermal insulation boards. The primer does not contain solvents. The CT 17 primed surfaces (all types of plasters, concretes, screeds, substrates with underfloor heating) have lower absorbency, which prevents too rapid drying of tile adhesives, screeds, putties, or paints. The preparation penetrates the substrate and binds the aggregate grains, but does not increase the strength parameters throughout the cross-section of the substrate. The use of CT 17 is particularly recommended for gypsum, anhydrite, and aerated concrete substrates. It is also suitable for priming non-impregnated plasterboard sheets. The preparation causes yellowish discoloration of the substrates. For priming substrates for thin-layer plasters, use Ceresit CT 16 or CT 15 primer.

STEP BY STEP

STEP I

Before applying CT 17, test the load-bearing capacity and strength of the substrate.

STEP II

Clean the surface and remove any dust.

STEP III

CT 17 is ready-to-use and can be applied with a brush or roller.
