Description
Primer paint used for creating a base coating layer on walls and ceilings. It helps to even out and unify the surface by enhancing its color and texture properties. Using a primer also improves coverage and reduces the wear and tear of the topcoat layer.
Place of application:
Walls and ceilings inside buildings.
Properties:
interior use
snow-white
brush/roller application
More information:
The coverage of the paint is up to 9 m² per 1 liter of paint, with a single coat on a smooth surface.
The coverage may vary depending on the structure and absorbency of the substrate, the preparation method, the experience of the painter, the number of coats, and the chosen application method.
Capacity | Productivity | Colour |
---|---|---|
1L | approx. 9m2 | white |
5L | approx. 45m2 | white |
10L | approx. 90m2 | white |
Substrate preparation:
The surface should be:
- stable,
- dry and free of moisture,
- clean, meaning it should be dusted and cleaned of old paint coatings and other layers that could weaken the adhesion of the paint, especially from dust, dirt, wax, and grease,
- even, without cracks. Any deficiencies should be repaired before starting to paint,
- primed – for highly absorbent or dusty surfaces, use a primer emulsion. For non-absorbent surfaces, such as plasterboard or surfaces covered with emulsion paints, INITIUM undercoat paint can be applied without the need for a primer emulsion.
Product preparation:
The paint is supplied in a ready-to-use form. It should not be mixed with any other materials. Before use, it should be thoroughly mixed with a slow-speed mixer and a paint mixing paddle to ensure consistent texture. If machine application is desired, the paint may be diluted with water up to a maximum of 10%.
Application:
The paint should be applied to the prepared surface in a thin and even layer. Painting can be done using a roller, brush, or spray method.
Depending on the absorbency and structure of the substrate, one or two coats of paint should be applied. The second coat of paint should be applied after the first coat has completely dried. Surface coating can begin after approximately 2 hours, when the applied primer paint is sufficiently dry.
