Description
Application:
for draining water from thermal insulation on facades.
Installation:
The drip edge should be installed in areas where water drainage is required away from the surface of the facade, such as under a terrace, balcony, cornice, above a window, and other areas where water flowing down the facade can seep under protruding elements of the facade. For proper installation, the fiberglass mesh provided with the drip edge should be embedded in adhesive designed for mounting fiberglass mesh to polystyrene or glass wool. The adhesive should be spread evenly over the surface of the polystyrene or glass wool using a specialized tool. Next, the fiberglass mesh from the drip edge should be embedded in the adhesive, followed immediately by covering it with the system fiberglass mesh overlapping by 10 cm. This operation should be performed in a single step so that both fiberglass meshes (the mesh from the drip edge and the system mesh) are embedded in the adhesive, creating a single layer (structure).
After the adhesive has dried, you can proceed with plastering. The plaster should be applied evenly to fill the entire space designated for plastering in the drip edge.
