Ceresit CT174 - HYBRID silicone render 1.0mm - Hand+Machine-25kg
What is Ceresit CT174 Machine?
Ceresit CT174 Machine is a specialized Silicate-Silicone hybrid render optimized for fast, spray-applied finishes on large elevations. It combines high vapour permeability with "Double Dry" technology for superior moisture protection. Unlike standard CT174, the "Machine" variant is formulated with a specific grain structure (typically 1.0mm) to ensure smooth delivery through spray equipment, reducing labor time and increasing coverage up to 16m² per 25kg tub.

- Why choose Ceresit CT174 Machine over manual application?
The machine version is specifically designed for speed and reduced labor costs on large-scale commercial or residential projects. It provides a more homogeneous and even surface finish than manual troweling and offers optimized material consumption, lowering overall project costs. - What equipment is recommended for spraying CT174?
For large objects, we recommend the SPG Baumaschinen PG 20 or Wagner PC 830. For smaller walls (under 100m²), a standard 100L air compressor with a professional plaster spray gun is sufficient. - Which insulation systems are compatible with CT174 Machine?
It is highly recommended as a façade plaster within Ceresit Ceretherm ETICS systems using either EPS (Polystyrene) or Mineral Wool boards, due to its excellent breathability and aquastatic protection.
- Preparation: Substrate must be dry, clean, and primed with Ceresit CT16.
- Mixing: Stir the 25kg tub carefully. You may add up to 1% clean water to adjust the consistency for your specific machine settings.
- Spray Technique: Hold the nozzle vertically, roughly 40–60 cm from the wall. Move in smooth, consistent strokes to ensure a uniform layer.
- Finishing: Use a steel trowel or float immediately after spraying to smooth and level the render to a thickness of approx. 1.0mm.
- Drying: Protect from rain for at least 24 hours until fully cured.
- Pro-Tip on Temperature: Perform application in temperatures between +5°C and +30°C and humidity below 80%.
- Pro-Tip on Consistency: Always perform a small sample spray to set the correct air pressure and delivery rate before starting the main elevation to ensure texture consistency.
CERESIT® CT 174 combines good points of silicate plaster and silicone plaster. It is vapour permeable, of low absorbability and dirt resistant. It is used for making thin layer plasters on concrete substrates, traditional plasters, gypsum substrates and chipboards. It is recommended its application as facade plaster within complex system of warming walls of outside buildings CERESIT Ceretherm ETICS with the application of EPS boards and MW. It is protected form biological paralyses. Available pack size: 25 kg.
