Ceresit CT76 - silicone-elastomer render - 1.5mm
What is Ceresit CT76?
Ceresit CT76 is a premium Solar Protect Silicone Render designed for facades exposed to intense sunlight. Featuring "Double Dry" technology and advanced UV filters, it significantly reduces surface temperature and prevents color fading. It is the best choice for south-facing walls and dark-colored facades that are prone to thermal cracking and algae growth.

- How does Ceresit CT76 protect against solar heat?
Ceresit CT76 contains special pigments and filters that reflect solar radiation more effectively than standard renders. This keeps the facade temperature lower, protecting the underlying External Wall Insulation (EWI) from thermal expansion and potential cracking. - Is Ceresit CT76 resistant to algae and mold?
Yes. It is formulated with the BioProtect system, which provides long-term protection against biological contamination. Combined with its "Double Dry" hydrophobic surface, moisture is quickly repelled, removing the conditions needed for algae to grow. - Can I use dark colors with Ceresit CT76?
Absolutely. CT76 is specifically engineered to handle the thermal stress associated with dark colors (low HBW values). While standard renders might crack under heat, CT76 remains stable, making it the preferred choice for modern architectural designs using greys, anthracites, and blacks.
- Substrate Preparation: Ensure the base coat is fully cured and flat.
- Priming: Apply Ceresit CT16. For CT76, it is vital to use a tinted primer to ensure UV protection is consistent across the surface.
- Mixing: Stir the 25kg tub with a low-speed mixer. Do not add more than 1% water to maintain the Solar Protect properties.
- Application: Apply with a stainless steel float at a thickness corresponding to the grain size.
- Finishing: Use a plastic float in circular motions. Pro-Tip: Ensure you have enough workers to finish a whole wall "wet-on-wet" to avoid visible shade differences.
- Pro-Tip for South-Facing Walls: On south and south-west elevations, the surface temperature can exceed 70°C in summer. Always use CT76 in these areas to prevent the "shadow effect" (visible board outlines) caused by the insulation underneath overheating.
- Pro-Tip on Maintenance: To maintain the self-cleaning properties of the Silicone-Silicate bond, avoid using harsh chemical cleaners. A simple rinse with low-pressure water is enough to keep the UV filters effective.
CERESIT® CT 76 is used for making thin-layer plasters on external insulation systems, concrete substrates, traditional plasters, gypsum substrates and chipboards, gypsum cardboards, etc. The key element of this innovative plaster is the new UV Protect Technology based on light stabilizers - UV absorbers and free radical scavengers.
